Card: Watches
Watches monitor platform accounts for new content (e.g. going live on Twitch, new YouTube video). When something happens, the bot posts an announcement in the chosen channel.
Select platform: YouTube, Twitch, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or Threads. Some platforms may require API keys or OAuth to function – check your bot/server configuration.
The Discord text channel where announcements will be sent.
The platform username or channel ID to watch, e.g. username or channel ID for YouTube. Leave empty if using role-based watching.
Instead of a single account, watch all linked accounts for members who have this role. You must add linked accounts first (see Linked accounts card).
Buttons: Test sends a test message to the channel. Test announcement sends a simulated live/event announcement. Edit loads the watch into the form. Delete removes it.
How to get watches working
- Add a Watch: choose Platform, Channel and either an Account or a Role.
- If using a Role: first link Discord users to their platform accounts under Linked accounts.
- Use Test to confirm the channel works.
- Ensure the bot has the correct API credentials (e.g. Twitch/YouTube) if required by your setup.
